A Mini-Retreat for Women:  Have Fun and Heal with Art, Nourish Mind and Body with Healthy Foods

Licensed MFTs and LCSWs can earn 6 continuing education units through Creative CEUs for this event.   If you want a Continuing Education Unit Certificate for this event – it will cost an additional $15.00 per person.

Where: Tamarack Beach Resort – Solarium, 3200 Carlsbad Boulevard, Carlsbad, CA

 

When:  Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 

Content: This will be 6.5 hours worth of fun, rejuvenation, and refreshment interacting with like-minded women while learning to use Expressive Arts to transform emotions and re-discover creativity.  We will share a delicious lunch together and enjoy the ocean view of the Tamarack Beach Resort.  This mini-retreat will be led by Sherry Collier, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in Expressive Arts Therapy.  We will also take a walk across the street to the beach for a little field-trip, and make it a day of relaxation, renewal, and rejuvenation for mind, body and soul.

 

In addition, Yvonne Scarf, Clinical Nutritionist, will show us how to prepare a health-boosting dish (which we will be eating with our lunch) and Georgia Graves, R.N. will show us how to make our own creative mixed media collage journals and discuss the importance of self-care.

 

Cost: $110.00 per person - includes all art supplies, food and beverages.  Sign up early – by June 24, 2010 and receive a free relaxation and guided imagery CD by Sherry Collier, LMFT.

  • Georgia Graves, R.N., M.A., has put together a prize package one lucky woman worth approximately $75.00.  This self-pampering package will contain products, ideas, and resources for nurturing and pampering yourself.
  • Avacado Dreamin’ will have a gift basket of avacado-based soaps, lotions, and other skin-care items (organic) for the lucky winner of this prize. 
  • One free relaxation/guided imagery cd will go to every woman who signs up for this retreat by June 24.  Sherry Collier is the creator of Creative Imagery Audio Projects – designed to help the listener relax, release anxiety, depression, and/or improve self-esteem.
